The credit union was originally founded in 1935 as the Kohrs Credit Union. Shortly thereafter the name changed to Oscar Mayer Credit Union after the Oscar Mayer Company purchased Kohrs. It was originally located inside of the Rockingham Road plant, in Davenport, IA.
As part of The Family Credit Union Team, the Branch Manager is responsible for:
- Guiding and managing the branch in providing quality member services in account transactions, loans and new accounts.
- Create and maintain a work/life balance with staff.
- Meeting established Branch goals through training, coaching and developing staff.
- Generate and close sound loans.
- Apply and evaluate policies and procedures for the branch.
- Maintain and monitor all internal controls and branch operations for accuracy, efficiency and compliance.
- Research, resolve and communicate operational issue and potential problems to management.
- Manage the safety and security of the branch.
- Communicate performance expectations to staff by coaching, and counseling. employees.
- Create and maintain a cross-selling environment within the branch. Train employees to maximize opportunities to sell products.
- Assist staff in solving complex account problems.
- Other duties as assigned.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong relationship building, money handling, customer service and negotiation skills.
- Sound decision-making and ability to organize and prioritize own duties.
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to comply with the completion of assigned tasks and trainings.
- Education and experience required:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum 2-3 years of bank or credit union experience.
- Broad knowledge of credit union operations/lending procedures.
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) is preferred.
- Bilingual/Spanish is a plus.
- Pre-employment credit/background screenings are required.

Pay: $39,000.00 - $48,000.00 per year
