Position Summary

As a B2B copywriter for CVS Health, you will serve as a strategic and trusted content partner within the larger PSS Marketing organization.


You will be responsible for writing, editing, and proofreading all marketing communications and content. This includes ensuring all copy aligns with CVS Health enterprise brand standards and guidelines for voice, tone, style, clarity, grammar and formatting.


Frequent writing projects include value stories, white papers, PowerPoint presentations, letters, emails, guides and brochures, social media posts, SMS texts, postcards, faxes, digital support (landing pages + web content), and other alerts. The target audience for these projects is B2B (PBM clients, prospects, businesses, pharmacies, consultants).


We are looking for passionate writers who can turn complex information about pharmacy benefit management and member benefits into simple, easy-to-understand, and compelling communications. The PBM touches over 110 million members’ lives, and this role supports increasing clarity and client/member satisfaction.


Responsibilities

  1. Copywriting: Writer will demonstrate excellent writing skills and uphold all PBM/PSS Marketing and CVS Health enterprise brand standards for all materials, regardless of medium.
  2. Creative marketing process tasks: kick offs, brainstorming, rounds of review, additional meetings, project management, administrative tasks.
  3. Content compliance/quality check (QC) review: proofreading, editing, branding, RGL, drug list (PDL) support, formatting, Nuxeo ID generation, document finalization and locking.
  4. Internal, non-client meetings and tasks (1:1s, creative team meetings, time and milestone tracking, participation in cross-functional workgroups, post-mortems, or other PBM initiatives).
  5. Ensure successful execution of all assigned copywriting projects, ensuring final deliverables are error free, delivered on-time and meet/exceed required CVS enterprise brand and content standards.
  6. Review and edit communications copy/content for clarity, grammar, readability, or reading grade level following client voice, tone, and style guidelines.
  7. Contribute suggestions and constructive feedback to internal and external partners through all stages of a project plan.
  8. Maintain records of all drafts, feedback, revisions and final deliverables in project management system, including Workfront and SharePoint.
  9. Make sure that all web copy adheres to basic HTML and SEO best practices.
  10. Recommend, research and develop facts, quotes, and scenarios to support writing as needed.
  11. Proactively identify and act on opportunities for operational efficiencies and improvements.

  5. Effective time-management, organization and the flexibility to adapt quickly to changes.
  6. Must be a self-starter with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  7. Analytical skills, strategic marketing experience, and creative problem solving.
  8. Excellent attention to detail.


**This is a remote role. Candidates can live anywhere in the U.S.**


Required Qualifications

  1. 5+ years of relevant experience as a professional copywriter (pharmaceutical, health insurance, and/or healthcare experience preferred).
  2. Experience with B2B/B2C writing and editorial skills.
  3. Demonstrated experience collaborating with graphic designers/creative design teams.
  4. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Word, Excel, SharePoint and Outlook applications.


Preferred Qualifications

  1. Expert proofreading skills (legal, compliance, and regulatory experience preferred).
  2. Experience writing to different grade levels.
  3. Experience with PDFs and Adobe Acrobat.
  4. Comfortable navigating and using project management tools (Workfront experience preferred).
  5. Knowledge of AI large language model (LLM) tool(s) to proof and/or enhance copy.
  6. Insurance industry and benefit experience.
  7. Knowledge of pharmacy benefits, healthcare, and/or health insurance.
  8. Project management or account management experience.
  9. Experience writing in a fast-moving, deadline-driven environment.


Education

  1. Bachelor’s degree in English, Writing, Marketing, Communications, or equivalent.

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:


$60,300.00 - $145,860.00


This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
