Who You Are

Ridgemont Hospitality is seeking a highly skilled leader to join our team as Assistant General Manager. As the AGM, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the front desk, housekeeping and facilities departments while lending support to the General Manager and all staff, ensuring that our guests receive exceptional service during their stay.

This is a California-Exempt position that will require open availability and flexibility in scheduling. The primary shifts will be mid/swing, including weekend coverage.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise the hotel's operations & guest services staff and ensure that all guests receive prompt, efficient and friendly service
  • Monitor and maintain the GSS, occupancy and room revenue goals of the hotel
  • Ensure that all company SOP's and and brand standards are followed,
  • Oversee delivery of the Guest Experience; including all guest check-in and check-out, reservations, billing, groups/meetings and night audit procedures
  • Respond to guest compliments, questions and concerns and resolve any issues that may arise
  • Coordinate with hotel departments, including housekeeping, maintenance and sales, to ensure that guest needs are met
  • Monitor and maintain the appearance and cleanliness of the front office and public areas
  • Maintain accurate records and reports on daily/weekly operations
  • Participate in the development and implementation of hotel policies, procedures and training standards
  • Act as the Manager on Duty in the absence of the General Manager
  • Ensure compliance with all local and state regulations

Qualifications

  • Prior experience as a Front Office, Operations or AGM - or similar role - in the hotel industry is preferred, though not required
  • Prior experience supervising staff and operations in other industries
  • Strong leadership and supervisory skills
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Strong knowledge of hotel operations and front office procedures
  • Proficient in computer skills and familiar with hotel management software
