Job Description

SUMMARY OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The Assistant Coordinating Manager for the Elmhurst Wellness Program will be working as part of the Workforce Wellness Team supporting wellness programming and the Helping Healerl Heal (H3) Program to foster workforce wellness across NYC Health+ Hospitals/Elmhurst. reporting to the Chief Wellness Officer, the Assistant Coordinating Manager is responsible for supþorting and assisting with wellness. programming and initiatives. The role is workforce/staff facing and will have staff engagement responsibilities. The Assistant Coordinating Manager will be trained as a HS Peer Support Champion and perform wellness rounds and debriefings around the hospital, They wíll be responsible for organizing and maintenance of the Workforce Wellness Center. They are expected to assist in coordination of wellness events and programing that align with the eight dimensions of wellness: Emotional, Environmental, Financial, lntellectual, Occupational, Physical, Social, and Spiritual.

General tasks and responsibilities will include:
Promote H3 program, Wellness Programs and Events, and Staff Support Resources, H3 rounds and debriefing.

Maintenance and upkeep of the Wellness Center (e.g. cleanliness, supplies, restocking).

Promote Wellness Room's location and purpose across departments, units, disciplines, and tours .

Keep track of how often and how actively the wellness rooms are used.

Maintain storage and distribution of wellness supplies.

Maintain inventory of wellness center supplies.

Encourage staff to engage in wellness activities in the Wellness Center.

Assist wìth set up and clean up for wellness events, (e.g. events, programs, Schwartz rounds) .

Attend and participate in Steering Committee meetings.

Performs other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

1. A Baccalaureate Degree from an accredited college or university in Business Administration, Community Health, Psychology or related discipline with one year of full-time experience in a supervisory or administrative capacity in business management systems, general administration, health care and medical/patient systems administration; or,

2. A satisfactory combination of education, training and experience.
