The Assistant Manager will partner with the branch manager in leading the team in
developing the Santa Fe market, and for exceeding branch goals. The candidate is also
responsible for assisting the branch manager with day to day branch operations in lending,
operations, and all areas of member service.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
1. Assist the Branch Manager with the operations of the branch. Schedule staff, answer
routine to complex questions on products and services, policies and procedures, or rules
and regulations.
2. Assist the Branch Manager with branch security at all levels to include opening and
closing the branch, managing cash, the vault, cash recyclers, security equipment, etc.
3. Work with the manager to hire, train, coach or terminate employees as needed or
required.
4. Ensure that staff receives on-going training in all areas of branch operations including
teller, new accounts, lending, eservices, security, robbery, and BSA/AML.
5. Maintain a high level of communication with staff by having weekly meetings to discuss
performance to branch and individual goals, provide training, coaching and address
housekeeping issues, as necessary.
6. Ensure that the branch and all employees follow policies, procedures, and internal
controls for the branch.
7. Provide backup assistance in all areas of branch operations. Cross train staff so every
employee can assist members with any service or request.
8. Monitor work of Senior Loan Officer, and Financial Service Representatives (FSRs) to
ensure the highest level of quality service to members.
9. Complete employee performance evaluations on a timely manner as required.
10. Assist staff or members in solving complex account problems.
11. Maintain a cross-selling environment within the branch.
12. Act as Branch Manager in the absence of that person.
13. Responsibility for compliance, as applicable, with the Bank Secrecy Act, including
addressing, in a timely manner, any transaction requiring or warranting action.
14. Perform all other duties as assigned by supervisor or management.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree, or a High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience that would support the ability to fulfill responsibilities of the
position
Ability to effectively communicate and work with others
Ability to lift/carry 50 pounds on occasion
