Overview/Purpose
Condé Nast Entertainment seeks a Writer/Producer, Creative Marketing & Branding to support the execution of promotional video materials across digital video, TV, film, new platforms, and live events.
The Writer/Producer, Creative Marketing & Branding is a creative and managerial role that requires a clear understanding of creative strategy, storytelling and the video post-production process. This role will be responsible for building effective and on-brand campaign strategies as well as conceptualizing, scripting and producing a variety of cross-platform promotional assets (sizzles, trailers, teasers, talent promo, etc.) for CNE’s large-scale initiatives.
The ideal candidate is a collaborative, solution-oriented and flexible team player. S/he is detail-oriented and extremely organized, thrives under pressure, and can juggle multiple projects simultaneously and successfully.
This role will work collaboratively across all of Condé Nast’s brands, including Vogue, GQ, Vanity Fair, Bon Appétit, Wired, Architectural Digest, The New Yorker, and many more. This role is based in New York and reports to the Associate Director, CNE Creative Marketing & Branding.
Responsibilities
Create and oversee best-in-class video promotional assets, launch materials, and campaigns, especially for CNE tentpole initiatives, talent-focused efforts and sales needs.
Develop and execute promotional campaign strategies for large–scale initiatives; contribute to the overall positioning and messaging of each project and translate it into effective promo video assets for social and digital platforms
Work with and support the Associate Director to oversee the production team and post-production team to see projects through to completion
Collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure content meets all business needs while adhering to social best practices and delivering on-time, on-budget and on-brand content.
Build and maintain strong relationships with internal departments and external collaborators to foster collaboration and alignment throughout the lifecycle of the project.
Brief in shoots and/or go on shoots to determine and oversee promotional capture.
Develop briefs, promo plans, and project plans for internal and consumer-facing projects.
Manage multiple projects while adhering to timelines, budgets and expectations.
Desired Skills & Qualifications:
5+ years experience in a Creative Marketing or Creative Promotions role at a publisher, network or agency.
Video post-production experience required; background in content/creative strategy is a plus.
In-depth understanding of creative and visual storytelling; knowledge of current video-trends and social best practices
The ability to identify new and creative ideas and translate them into strong and effective campaign strategies
Understanding of what makes sizzles and promotional materials effective, down to every shot selection and music cue.
Conceptual, with the ability to bring an idea through to completion.
Strong written and oral communication skills (scriptwriting is a must!).
Outstanding time management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage expectations.
A strong portfolio of work across a range of digital platforms.
Familiarity with the brands and businesses of Condé Nast.
A solution-oriented, collaborative and positive attitude!
Base Pay Range: $70,000 - $110,000
