Rainbow Resource Center, Inc., a catalog and ecommerce retailer of educational and homeschooling supplies, is currently hiring for a full-time or part-time writer and editor. Applicants should have experience with a variety of writing types and formats, from blog articles to descriptive product copy. Experience in editing multiple types of writing and working with multiple writers would also be beneficial. Homeschooling experience or knowledge of homeschooling and curriculum preferred.

Responsibilities

• Write product descriptions, both for ecommerce site and print catalogs
• Edit product descriptions from other writers, providing feedback as needed
• Edit blog articles written by homeschool consultants
• Edit video scripts for product videos and homeschooling video workshops, providing feedback to writers
• Writing or editing copy for the company website, ads, or marketing emails.

Experience

• Strong English-language writing, editing, copy editing, proofreading, product research, and fact-checking skills.
• Experience with homeschooling or homeschooling curriculum/materials.
• Ability to work well with writers, providing helpful feedback and suggestions.
• Ability to follow style guides, manage deadlines, and balance multiple tasks.
• Experience writing product descriptions for ecommerce would be helpful.

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16.0 – 40.0 per week
