What You’ll Be Doing:

We’re seeking a WordPress Developer (Contract) to help on an existing client project currently underway. At Fresh Consulting, you will work in a dynamic work environment with a talented team, excellent benefits, and an innovative culture.

Core Responsibilities

1. You will participate in the individual and team based design and development efforts on large client websites.
2. You will have the opportunity to consult on client project goals (UI/UX, SEO best practices, conversion tracking, Usability, Accessibility ).
3. You will be part of a team that handles multiple client and internal projects simultaneously.

Required Skills

1. Experienced with PHP
2. Experienced with WordPress development custom theming, gutenberg blocks, full site editing)
3. Experience with WordPress Development themes such as Sage 11 or Underscores
4. Strong front-end development skills: HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript
5. Experienced with front-end frameworks: Tailwind, Bootstrap, Shadcn
6. Some experience with cross-browser, platform, and device manual/automation testing
7. Some UI / UX skill and understanding of Usability
8. Some experience with design tools such as Figma, Adobe Suite.
9. Demonstrated dedication to produce clean code that validates and follows industry coding style standards
10. Strong debugging and problem-solving skills
11. Ability to work in a collaborative team environment
12. Excellent organization and communication skills, both verbal and written

Desired Skills

1. Basic knowledge of terminal commands
2. Basic knowledge of SEO & Schema data
3. Experience with optimizing website performance
4. Experience with Source Code Management best practices
5. Experience with Databases: MySQL, MS SQL, etc.
6. Experience with React, and react frameworks like Next js
7. Experience with development tools: Bun, WebPack, Node, etc.
8. Experience with third-party APIs and GraphQL

Education

A minimum of a Bachelor Degree in the areas of Computer Science, engineering, mathematics, statistics, social sciences or business/marketing or related fields. Advanced degrees are preferred such as MBA/MS

The hourly rate hiring range for this position is $50.00/hr to $80.00/hr on 1099 contract, with compensation based on location, level, knowledge, skills, and experience.
