Position Overview:

We’re looking for a WordPress Web Developer & Designer to join our remote team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining WordPress websites for our diverse client base. You’ll collaborate closely with our marketing, content, and video teams to ensure each site is both aesthetically pleasing and performance-driven. Key Responsibilities

Web Design & Development: Build custom WordPress themes and pages tailored to client needs, ensuring responsive design and seamless user experiences.

Front-End Implementation: Translate wireframes and mockups into high-quality code using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP.

Plugin & Theme Management: Research, install, customize, and update plugins/themes while ensuring compatibility and site security.

Performance Optimization: Monitor site speed, implement best practices for caching and code optimization, and troubleshoot performance issues.

SEO & Accessibility: Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure websites are SEO-friendly and meet accessibility guidelines.

Maintenance & Updates: Perform regular site backups, software updates, and security checks to keep websites running smoothly.

Client Support & Feedback: Communicate directly with clients to gather requirements, provide progress updates, and address feedback.

Collaboration: Work closely with content writers, graphic designers, and video editors to integrate multimedia elements into webpages.

Qualifications

Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of WordPress, including custom theme/plugin development. Solid understanding of PHP, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.

Design Skills: A good eye for layout, typography, and color theory. Experience with design tools like Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD is a plus.

Portfolio: Demonstrated track record of building aesthetically pleasing, high-conversion WordPress websites.

Problem-Solving: Ability to debug and solve complex WordPress or hosting issues efficiently.

Communication: Excellent written and verbal skills; can explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Project Management: Capable of managing multiple web projects, meeting deadlines, and setting realistic timelines.

Remote Readiness: Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a remote setting with minimal supervision.

Additional Skills: Familiarity with page builders and advanced custom fields. Experience with WooCommerce or other e-commerce platforms. Basic knowledge of digital marketing, funnel creation, or lead capture optimization.

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in tools such as Google Workspace, project management apps (Notion), and social media scheduling tools.

Analytical Mindset:

Ability to interpret marketing metrics and generate actionable insights.

Organizational Skills:

Detail-oriented with excellent time management and task prioritization abilities.

Communication:

Strong written and verbal communication skills; comfortable collaborating in a remote environment.

Adaptability:

Able to multitask, pivot quickly, and manage evolving priorities in a fast-paced setting.

Additional Skills (Bonus)

Experience with email marketing platforms (Mailchimp, Klaviyo, etc.).

Knowledge of Google Analytics or similar tracking tools.

Familiarity with basic HTML/CSS for minor WordPress edits or troubleshooting.
