Job Description:

OPEX Corporation is seeking a junior or mid-level software developer to join our RPM (Remote Performance Monitor) team. RPM is a cloud-based platform designed to monitor the health and performance of OPEX machines in real time. It enables data-driven decision making by gathering, consolidating, and visualizing operational information through interactive dashboards and automated reports.

As part of the RPM team, you will contribute to the development and enhancement of the website, hosted on Microsoft Azure using C# .NET, Entity Framework, and T-SQL. You’ll play a key role in implementing scalable backend services, optimizing data models, and building interfaces that support dynamic reporting and performance analytics.

This position offers the opportunity to work across the full technology stack. You’ll be developing new backend services and data procedures, designing engaging front-end charts and interactive reports, as well as contributing to the cloud architecture that powers RPM’s monitoring platform, build and maintain Windows services for data processing, and develop automated systems such as scheduled email reporting. Responsibilities

This role requires a collaborative and hands-on software developer who contributes not only through strong coding skills but also through teamwork, creative problem solving, and a commitment to continuous improvement. This person will be expected to:

  1. Test and validate your own work and participate in peer testing to ensure quality prior to release.
  2. Initiate and participate in code-reviews as reviewer and reviewee.
  3. Analyze, plan, and break down projects into smaller tasks.
  4. Hold yourself and your teammates accountable to delivering clean and maintainable code
  5. Ensure team is using contemporary software development methods and tools.
  6. Empower individuals and the team to be successful.

  8. Participate in agile ceremonies as a member of the RPM scrum team.
  9. Deliver large, complex projects with quality.
  10. Coordinate multiple high priority tasks.


Skills & Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, computer science, related field, or relevant experience.
  2. Technical/Engineering experience in a software development organization 0-10 yrs.
  3. Experience developing new products is strongly preferred.
  4. Experience developing, coding, and interfacing with relational databases.
  5. C# .NET application development preferred, including experience with Entity Framework.
  6. TSQL or PostgreSQL preferred. Familiarity with other database environments is welcome as well.
  7. Proficiency with JavaScript, including familiarity with front-end frameworks or libraries used for interactive charts, dashboards, and reports.
  8. Exposure to Microsoft Azure or Amazon AWS cloud services, including hosting, deployment, and storage solutions.
  9. Domain knowledge in Material Handling, Warehouse Automation or Industrial segment is strongly preferred.
  10. Exceptional listening, verbal, presentation, interpersonal, and written communication skills.
  11. Ability to travel when necessary (typically less than 20%).


Physical/Work Environments

  1. Employee may be working in an office, lab, or production environment with occasional travel to customer sites.
  2. Some walking between OPEX facilities.
  3. Employee may occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
