The Role

Job Title: Web Developer

Length: Through end of 2026 with possibility to extend

Location: Remote

Brainrider is seeking a Web Developer to join our client-embedded team. You bring 3–5 years of experience creating fast, scalable, and engaging web experiences across marketing sites and campaigns. You’ll build reusable components using front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React), manage content in CMS platforms like WordPress, and collaborate with design, marketing, SEO, and product teams to bring ideas to life.

This role blends hands-on development with content execution—delivering high-quality code, optimizing performance, and ensuring seamless user experiences. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, enjoy owning workstreams end-to-end, and love using AI tools to build smarter and faster, this role is for you.

What you'll do

  1. Build, update, and manage web pages and components using internal CMS tools and modern front-end technologies
  2. Develop and implement reusable components using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, with exposure to component-based frameworks (e.g., React)
  3. Write, review, and ship production-ready code, participating in code reviews and version control workflows (Git)
  4. Execute content updates across websites, blogs, and campaign pages while ensuring performance, scalability, and responsiveness
  5. Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, design, product, SEO, and engineering teams to deliver high-quality web experiences
  6. Apply SEO best practices, including content structuring, tagging, metadata optimization, and data cataloging
  7. Implement and validate analytics tracking to ensure accurate performance measurement
  8. Conduct QA on both code and content to maintain high quality and low defect rates
  9. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across web properties, identifying root causes and implementing solutions
  10. Identify opportunities to improve workflows, tools, and systems for greater efficiency and scalability
  11. Actively use AI development tools (e.g., Copilot, Claude, etc.) as part of the development process to write, refine, and ship code more efficiently

What you'll bring

  1. 3–5 years of experience in web development, CMS, or a hybrid role
  2. Strong proficiency in JavaScript, along with HTML and CSS
  3. Experience working in component-based architectures (e.g., React)
  4. Experience with version control systems (Git) and participating in code reviews
  5. Experience building and maintaining high-traffic, large-scale websites
  6. WordPress or CMS development experience
  7. Comfort using AI tools as part of your development workflow (not just for productivity, but for building and shipping code)
  8. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to debug and resolve issues independently
  9. Ability to manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced environment
  10. Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Bonus

  1. Basic PHP or back-end scripting experience (especially for WordPress)
  2. Familiarity with build systems, CI/CD, or deployment pipelines
  3. Experience with performance optimization and web analytics
  4. Exposure to design tools (Figma, Adobe Creative Suite)

Additional Information

We offer competitive salaries, paid vacation, work from home (WFH) support and set-up assistance, and a wide variety of other great perks!

The fine print:
