  • Develop and maintain web applications and programs in an agile development workflow. Design, code, test, implement, debug and help to maintain college intranet and internet web applications; develop web solutions for research related projects and opportunities. Provide support to faculty and staff of the college including, providing viable web-solutions to support the colleges’ mission and research related activities, developing and updating user guides, and training users on how to use web solutions. Research new web technologies and tools and prototype new websites for demonstration purposes and maintain project status reports for dissemination at weekly meetings
  • Responsible for creating, coordinating production of, and distributing content (written text, video, audio etc.) to increase awareness and interest in the programs and activities of NYITCOM. Help create and maintain a consistent brand identity for the university and will coordinate marketing and outreach efforts on all communications platforms.
  • Point of contact (POC) for all COM website related items and key partner with NYIT's Communication and Marketing to help College of Osteopathic Medicine adhere to NYIT's mission, branding and guidelines.
  • Bachelor’s degree required and Master’s degree preferred
  • 1 – 3 years directly applicable experience and/or 3-5 years related experience
  • Required field Web Development field expertise
  • Advanced MS Office Suite, database and systems technology skills
  • Proficient understanding of HTML, CSS, Javascript (Node.js / React / Vue) and PHP (Laravel)
  • Familiar with modern Software Development techniques (Docker and other cloud based technologies, Git, Code documentation, Bash, REST, etc)
  • Ability to be a self starter, interest in product development, capable of working independently as well as working within a team environment
  • Possesses excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Basic knowledge of computer hardware
  • Continued professional development through workshops, conferences and other field resources
