Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Freelance Web Developer to join our team on a 1099 / part-time contract basis. In this role, you’ll be essential in designing, building, and maintaining high-quality, responsive websites for various clients across automotive, marine, powersports, and other industries. You will collaborate closely with our talented graphic designers, SEO managers, and marketing experts to create visually appealing, user-friendly, and optimized websites that meet each client's unique needs.

Responsibilities

1. Design, develop, and maintain responsive websites for clients in automotive, marine, powersports, and various other industries.
2. Collaborate with graphic designers, SEO managers, and other team members to ensure each site meets brand guidelines and performance standards.
3. Implement design elements, plugins, and interactive features, focusing on functionality, usability, and site performance.
4. Optimize websites for speed, performance, and SEO to enhance user experience and search engine rankings.
5. Troubleshoot issues, perform regular updates, and conduct site maintenance as needed.
6. Stay updated on industry trends and best practices, including coding standards, emerging technologies, and digital design trends.

Requirements

1. Proven experience as a web developer with a strong website build portfolio, ideally including work in automotive, marine, or powersports sectors.
2. Proficiency in HTML, CSS, PHP, JavaScript, and other front-end languages is required, as is experience with WordPress or similar CMS platforms.
3. Vehicle inventory experience and feed code incorporation knowledge are highly desired.
4. Familiarity with SEO best practices and experience optimizing websites for search engines.
5. Strong understanding of responsive and mobile-friendly design.
6. Excellent collaboration and communication skills and ability to work effectively with cross-functional team members.
7. Detail-oriented and able to work independently to meet deadlines.
