Services customers’ export shipments by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Responsible for the materials movement and coordination of freight on a timely basis.
Examines receiving documentation to ensure that materials received are in accordance with purchase orders issued by the customer.
Consults with vendors/sub vendors when discrepancies are found such as overages, shortages and damages to reconcile and produce account representatives with accurate materials is completed within a certain time frame to ensure that delivery of the cargo meets the specified deadline/standards for that particular mode of transport.
Assists in the generation of export documentation required (packing list/commercial invoice, load lists, dock receipts, labels, etc.)
Retains records of freight movements.
Requirements
Six months to one-year related experience and/or training.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of education.
