About the Opportunity

We are currently recruiting for a Video Operations Associate for the video operations and support area of a global telecommunications client. This position provides the opportunity to assist in ensuring the health of the entertainment platform within, but not limited to the linear, streaming, VOD, and ad insertion platforms. The position is located in Irving, TX.

This is a Full-Time Ongoing Contract role.

Who Will Succeed?

The ideal candidate will have experience supporting video operations ideally as part of a 24/7 staff delivering technical support. You will be monitoring 4K, HD, live action streaming on multiple monitors. You will be assisting with the management of the health of the Entertainment Platform within, but not limited to the Linear, Streaming, VOD and Ad Insertion platforms.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor transmission feeds for audio/visual impairments and content issues.
• Manually trigger sports blackouts on daily LIVE Sporting Events and playbacks.
• Provide and receive detailed shift handoff briefing to oncoming Specialist. In addition to creating accurate log (ServiceNow) entries regarding shift activities.
• Manually assign event schedule to operators on team for next day’s event load.
• Perform daily EPG scans and routine error monitoring checks.
• Follow procedures to authenticate, troubleshoot, and restore broadcast reception.
• Collaborate with internal team members and external vendors to resolve equipment and software issues.
• Create and maintain chronological trouble tickets concerning on-air issues and maintenance activities.
• Take direction from and provide input to Broadcast Operations Shift Professional.
• Complete special projects and other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in a technical field; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in support of video operations.
• Experience as part of a 24/7 technical support operation.
• Must be available to work weekends and holidays as needed.
• Hours: Vary - assist 24x7 environment.
