Our Vice President of Research and Analytics will help drive a culture of data-driven insights throughout the agency, working collaboratively with our brand and scientific strategy teams to illuminate the “data narrative” that lights the path ahead. As a leader of our research and analytics team, you will help set the vision for how analytics is used at the agency to guide our communications and marketing strategy to solve our clients’ business problems. You are a strong leader and communicator who is able to clearly articulate insights to internal stakeholders and clients, inspiring a team of data and cultural enthusiasts to enhance our research offerings. The ideal candidate will have diverse experience with a heavy focus on measurement strategy and execution.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Demonstrate the mission, vision, values, and culture principles of Spectrum
- Oversee end-to-end design and execution of analytics while cultivating strong relationships internally and externally; develops custom offerings depending on client needs in order to deliver the most targeted and actionable insights.
- Assimilate large amounts of data, identify data nuances to optimize our clients’ business, and articulate/visualize findings for internal and external stakeholders. Partner with innovation team to evolve unique agency POV on measuring and tracking and reporting on media performance; Engage client stakeholders to understand how measurement will address business needs
- Understanding how to properly measure and demonstrate ROI of omnichannel marketing
- Manage multiple project teams simultaneously, overseeing collection and analysis of relevant data, research reports, presentations to clients and ensuring established processes are followed to deliver results that meet the highest quality standards.
- Lead development of narratives for analytics findings; drafting of proposals and statements of work for new opportunities with existing clients.
- Develop pricing for proposed research & analytics projects.
- Comply with all corporate and departmental standard operating procedures as well as FDA and other governmental regulations (e.g., IRB, EC)
- Ensure all activities and operations are performed in compliance with regulatory and federal regulations
- Provide oversight and mentoring to team of research and analytics professionals, as well as visionary leadership around the use of data across the agency
Desired Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year college or university, or equivalent work experience. Degree in Marketing, Data Management, Economics, Statistics, Mathematic, Data Science, or related major preferred
- 8+ years of digital advertising, agency, or client-side experience, including 5+ years of digital media analytics, healthcare experience strongly preferred
- Experienced in managing multiple accounts and/or project budgets
- Demonstrated success in helping clients take concrete actions based on research, analytics and data.
- Creative thinker who is willing to think outside of the box and consistently look for opportunities to improve current capabilities and processes
- Demonstrated understanding of measurement planning, KPIs, and performance analysis for digital marketing. Clinical trial experience is a plus.
- Advanced skills in digital analytics platforms including Google Analytics, Facebook Business Manager, and Google Tag Manager
- Advanced skills in data visualization platforms such as Tableau or Domo
- Leverage advanced Excel and campaign management tools
- Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
- Superior organizational and multi-tasking skills with attention to detail
- Highly self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Demonstrated success managing and motivating teams
The anticipated salary range for this position will be $130,000-$175,000. Salary is based on job-related factors such as: years of relevant experience, qualifications and/or certifications. Spectrum reserves the right to modify this pay range at any given time.
