Flexible Telemedicine Opportunity for Veterinarians

Our aim at Petari VetCare is to be the go-to veterinary medicine provider for pet parents by offering a truly integrative care approach from virtual clinic (telehealth) services to future general and urgent care in-clinic services; along with ancillary services such as online pharmacy, pet parent education modules, and patient care plans.

We are seeking part-time veterinarians to join our innovative healthcare team remotely and expand access to care to patients via a telemedicine (chat and video) platform.

Our team of Telemedicine Veterinarians will:

  • Provide outstanding care via chat and video telemedicine consults with pet parents in our proprietary app.
  • Build core telemedicine program, including triage and emergency support, remedies and treatment, behavior training, nutrition plans, and enrichment.
  • Collaborate with the Petari team to build education and care programs pet parents.
  • Help build processes and procedures that will become the gold standard for a new industry that is emerging for veterinary care delivered digitally.
  • Be remote and work from your home with flexible weekday and weekend availability.
  • Ideally be available to work part-time at a minimum of 3-4 shifts per week. Part-time shift duration is generally restricted to no more than 4 hours per day to help support work-life balance.

Job requirements include:

  • Be a licensed veterinarian in good standing with the medical board in Massachusetts.
  • Be comfortable discussing and treating a wide variety of health issues, including triaging critical patients.
  • Strictly follow security regulations to protect patients’ medical information.
  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree is required.
  • At least 3 years of post-graduate work experience in small animal medicine.
  • Must have proficient computer skills as this will require interacting with pet parents and Petari team members remotely through online platforms and documenting records via our computer software program.
  • Have a designated working space that is quiet and free from disruptions.
  • Access to a computer with high-speed internet and additional back up WiFi via hotspot.
  • Has exemplary listening and problem-solving skills, and ability to multitask.
  • Comfortable collaborating with an innovative, forward-thinking team.
  • Passionate about helping people and pets with empathy and excellent customer service focus.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Comfortable in a fast paced, self-starter environment.
  • The willingness to continue learning and embraces curiosity.
