Contract Length: 6 months, opportunity for extension/conversion depending on performance, attendance and business need

Job Role:
Responsible for developing and implementing the creation, editing, delivery and maintenance of useful and relevant content for the company website and a few other digital product areas.

Job Responsibilities:

• Be a strong advocate for the content throughout the life of a project
• Provide the background research and analysis that stakeholders need to make smart decisions about content
• Creates recommendations for the content based on business and user needs
• Ensure there is a plan for maintaining content post-launch
• Work as a member of a user experience team in collaboration with information architects, interaction designers, visual designers, and researchers
• Collaborate with business segment specialists and marketing partners
• Lead content-related efforts
• Develop content that considers business requirements, marketing needs, and user goals
• Create and edit content as needed to support company updates
• Keep up-to-date on trends in content management and digital content delivery

Must Have Abilities:

• Excellent writing and editing skills, with a strong command of best-practice web content standards
• The ability to act as an advocate for the intended audiences
• Ability to communicate with and operate within a cross-disciplinary team that includes user experience professionals, business specialists, and marketing partners
• Excellent communication, speaking, and presentation skills
• Basic knowledge of the insurance and financial industry.

Job Deliverables:

• Competitive analysis reports detailing current and future trends and standards of the industry and major competitors
• Content strategy documentation including items such as content inventories, gap analysis, site maps, page tables, content template maps, editorial strategies, content style guides, editorial workflow diagrams, content management system architectures, metadata frameworks, taxonomies, content flow schematics, content models, content production schedules, competitor content audits, and content migration plans
• Web content copy and editing as needed
