Perch Energy has an immediate opening for a Utility Operations Analyst, reporting to the Manager of Financial Operations. In this role, you will be responsible for cultivating and maintaining strategic relationships at each utility and must prioritize the timeliness and accuracy of data. The ideal candidate has strong Excel skills, prior energy experience, is versed in Salesforce, and has worked in transaction management processing EDI or other energy usage and billing data.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain healthy relationships with key stakeholders at each utility
  • Act as a Liaison between Perch Energy and each utility
  • Implement controls and validations to ensure the accuracy and timely receipt of utility data
  • Research, cleanse, and address data discrepancies in a timely manner
  • Serve as a key stakeholder for implementing new states and programs into our tech ecosystem
  • Collaborate internally to ensure the accuracy of billing for solar credits
  • Identify root cause of recurring data issues and implement solutions to permanently resolve
  • Perform regular reconciliation of data and processes to decrease risks and improve data integrity
  • Develop, deliver, and report on metrics to provide transparency into data quality
  • Channel feedback to the Policy Team to advocate for continual improvements
  • Work closely with the Technology team to resolve internal data GAPs

Requirements:

  • General understanding of regulations and guidelines for the Utility industry
  • Bachelors Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Data Analytics or an analytical/quantitative field – e.g., Statistics or equivalent
  • 2+ years’ experience in data analytics, providing insights, reporting on trends, and cleansing large datasets
  • Proven experience in driving critical data and process improvement across a small to mid-sized firm
  • Proven success working with external parties to implement complex solutions and resolve data discrepancies
  • Experience with Tableau, Power BI, Domo or other reporting tool
  • Expert in MS Excel
  • Prior experience with Salesforce
  • Knowledge of Community Solar a plus
  • Knowledge of EDI a plus
  • Patient, communicative, team player with outstanding interpersonal skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, tenacity, and fortitude
  • Vigorous written and oral communication skills
