We are a small group of three privately owned neighborhood clinics in the nations capital looking for a communications and marketing director to help us engage and grow our amazing client base. Savviness and experience will be prioritized when looking for the right fit to fill this position! It is our hope to find a human who is a part of the local community and wants to help us serve the animals in it for years to come. The role requires and working closely in person with the managers at all three clinics and spending time getting to know the people, the animals and the culture. It is not as simple as posting cute pictures of puppies on Instagram, but that is part of the job!

Responsibilities will include:

Managing social media and client communications (facebook/instagram posts, email blasts, push notifications from practice software)
Online reputation management (curating and responding to reviews)
Assist with website design and upkeep
Coordinating and hosting community events
Maintaining doctors blogs for each clinic’s website
Create/design quarterly promotional material and marketing campaigns
50% of the time spent on in-person marketing: visiting local businesses to build relationships, marketing in condo buildings, weekly “yappy hours” and finding other creative ways to engage with the local community in person to promote our brand

Job Requirements

Prior experience in marketing
Prior experience developing and executing social media business strategies
Ability to work independently and in a group setting
Ability to communicate clearly and accurately to a range of audiences
Strong creative thinking and writing skills
Willingness to jump into new tasks and help out other team members
Strong interpersonal skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
