Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Umbraco Certified Developer to support the maintenance, enhancement, and optimization of Umbraco-based websites. This role focuses on working across both current and legacy Umbraco instances, delivering reliable, accessible, and mobile-optimized web experiences.
The ideal candidate is comfortable working independently, managing priorities across multiple updates, and contributing hands-on technical expertise in a fast-moving environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain, update, and enhance websites built on Umbraco, including older versions
- Build and optimize responsive, mobile-friendly web pages
- Implement front-end solutions using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Troubleshoot and resolve website issues efficiently
- Collaborate with design and content teams to deliver updates and improvements
- Ensure sites meet accessibility standards, SEO requirements, and usability best practices
- Monitor and improve website performance, security, and cross-browser compatibility
Qualifications
- Umbraco Certified Expert with hands-on experience across multiple Umbraco versions
- Demonstrated proficiency using AI-assisted coding tools such as Cursor and/or Claude Code
- Strong working knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript
- Proven experience developing responsive, mobile-optimized web pages
- Solid understanding of website performance optimization and best practices
- Working knowledge of SEO, accessibility standards (WCAG), and usability principles
- Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and meet deadlines
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Experience using design and developer collaboration tools such as Figma
Work Environment and Physical Requirements
- Experience with .NET and C# for custom Umbraco functionality
- Familiarity with version control systems such as Git
- Background working on freelance or agency projects managing multiple websites
- Experience with third-party marketing tools such as Pardot
