Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Umbraco Certified Developer to support the maintenance, enhancement, and optimization of Umbraco-based websites. This role focuses on working across both current and legacy Umbraco instances, delivering reliable, accessible, and mobile-optimized web experiences.

The ideal candidate is comfortable working independently, managing priorities across multiple updates, and contributing hands-on technical expertise in a fast-moving environment.

Key Responsibilities

1. Maintain, update, and enhance websites built on Umbraco, including older versions
2. Build and optimize responsive, mobile-friendly web pages
3. Implement front-end solutions using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
4. Troubleshoot and resolve website issues efficiently
5. Collaborate with design and content teams to deliver updates and improvements
6. Ensure sites meet accessibility standards, SEO requirements, and usability best practices
7. Monitor and improve website performance, security, and cross-browser compatibility

Qualifications

1. Umbraco Certified Expert with hands-on experience across multiple Umbraco versions
2. Demonstrated proficiency using AI-assisted coding tools such as Cursor and/or Claude Code
3. Strong working knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript
4. Proven experience developing responsive, mobile-optimized web pages
5. Solid understanding of website performance optimization and best practices
6. Working knowledge of SEO, accessibility standards (WCAG), and usability principles
7. Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and meet deadlines
8. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
9. Experience using design and developer collaboration tools such as Figma

Work Environment and Physical Requirements

1. Experience with .NET and C# for custom Umbraco functionality
2. Familiarity with version control systems such as Git
3. Background working on freelance or agency projects managing multiple websites
4. Experience with third-party marketing tools such as Pardot
