Job Title: UI/UX Designer

Location: NYC or Remote

Job Description:

User interface / User experience designer to join growing product development team creating new consumer goods (home comfort and convenience products) that are smart-enabled and operated via mobile smart apps.

Duties/Roles:

Design of product UI:

o Buttons and mechanical interfaces

o Menus and graphical labels/descriptors

Design of smart app:

o Design of menu/page navigation

o Design of pages and active elements on pages

o Compatibility checks with iOS and Android as well as Wifi protocols

Work closely with art director on product aesthetic design

Assist in design of product packaging and manuals

Work closely with product engineering to make products intuitive and easy to use

Test and evaluate prototypes of new products under development for ease of use, quality and compliance with design requirements

Skills and Competencies:

UI/UX design experience and formal training

Proficient with graphic design software

Proficient with 3D CAD modeling

Experience with cloud-based IoT platforms and smart apps (Tuya preferred)

Knowledgeable with home automation (Matter preferred)

Excellent communication and ability to mesh well with multi-national team
