We're looking for a talented UI Developer who bridges the gap between design and development. You'll create beautiful, functional user interfaces while thinking deeply about user experience, then translate those designs into clean, maintainable code that our senior front-end developers can seamlessly integrate into our platform serving 3+ million monthly active users.

This isn't just a coding role or just a design role – it's both. You'll own the entire process from initial UX thinking through final code handoff, working closely with product managers, designers, and engineering teams to ship features that delight users at scale.

What You'll Do

Design & UX

1. Research user needs and translate insights into intuitive interface solutions
2. Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups in Figma
3. Design and maintain our component library and design system
4. Conduct usability testing and iterate based on user feedback
5. Collaborate with product teams on feature conceptualization and user flows

Development & Implementation

1. Build responsive, accessible UI components on mobile and web frameworks
2. Write clean, well-documented code optimized for handoff to senior developers
3. Implement design systems with consistent tokens, spacing, and interaction patterns
4. Ensure cross-browser compatibility and mobile-first responsive design
5. Optimize components for performance at scale (3M+ MAU requires thoughtful approaches)

Collaboration & Process

1. Work closely with senior frontend developers to ensure smooth code integration
2. Document component APIs, usage guidelines, and design decisions
3. Participate in product design reviews
4. Contribute to our design system documentation and best practices

What We're Looking For

Required Experience

1. 3+ years experience in UI/UX roles with significant coding responsibilities
2. Strong portfolio demonstrating both design thinking and technical implementation
3. Experience shipping products at scale (100k+ users preferred)
4. Experience with building UI components using Kotlin and SwiftUI
5. Proficiency in modern web frameworks
6. Experience with design tools (Figma required, Sketch/Adobe XD a plus)
7. Understanding of design systems, component libraries, and design tokens

Technical Skills

1. Familiarity with accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1)
2. Experience with testing frameworks for UI components
3. Version control with Git and collaborative development workflows

Design Skills

1. User-centered design principles and methodologies
2. Information architecture and interaction design
3. Visual design fundamentals (typography, color theory, layout)
4. Prototyping and user testing experience
5. Understanding of mobile-first and responsive design principles

Bonus Points

1. Experience with design system tools (Storybook, Chromatic)
2. Experience with animation libraries (Framer Motion, GSAP)
3. Previous work at high-growth startups or tech companies
4. Contributions to open source design systems or UI libraries
