About the Role
American Express Travel is seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Travel Consultant to deliver exceptional travel experiences to our Card Members. In this role, you will provide expert guidance, personalized travel planning, and premium service across air, hotel, car rental, and destination experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide end-to-end travel consulting for American Express Card Members, including booking flights, hotels, cruises, and ground transportation.
- Deliver personalized travel recommendations based on client preferences, budget, and travel history.
- Manage complex itineraries and resolve issues related to cancellations, rescheduling, or travel disruptions.
- Utilize American Express travel platforms, GDS tools (e.g., Sabre), and vendor relationships to secure the best travel options and exclusive benefits for clients.
- Maintain a deep understanding of travel trends, loyalty programs, destination requirements, and global travel regulations.
- Offer proactive support by identifying opportunities for travel upgrades, savings, and enhanced travel experiences.
- Handle customer inquiries with professionalism, empathy, and urgency to ensure premium service.
- Meet performance targets including customer satisfaction, quality assurance, and productivity metrics.
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience in travel consulting, tourism, hospitality, or customer service.
- Proficiency with GDS systems (Sabre is highly preferred).
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities with a customer-first mindset.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple itineraries simultaneously.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with luxury, VIP, or corporate travel clients.
- Knowledge of travel industry rules, fare structures, and booking procedures.
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights and weekends.
