Every day as a Transportaion Driver/Direct Support Professional you will:

• Provide transportation and drive students for a variety of purposes including, but not limited to: medical appointments, discharge visits, court hearing, recreation activities, and home visits (when not providing transportation
• Provide documentation relative to the use of Devereux PA vehicles.
• Assist in the movement and delivery of various materials to include client charts, mail, supplies, small medical equipment, etc. as needed.
• Observe all traffic rules to include always maintaining a safe speed, signaling, parking in appropriate areas, etc.

When not providing transportation you will function as a DSP/Residential Counselor with a female population.

Devereux Pennsylvania Children's Services (DPACS) services children, adolescents and young adults with autism spectrum disorders, intellectual and developmental disabilities, behavioral, emotional, and psychiatric challenges, and disorders. A primary focus throughout the program is the philospohy of Program-Wide Positive Behavior Intervention and Support (PW-PBIS), a program-wide system of care that promotes and rewards positive behaviors, and prevents negative behaviors, to create safe, supportive living environments. Each year, more than 1,000 children and adolescents receive specialized care, in the environment best suited to the unique challenges they face, all with the goal of providing each child with the academic, social, emotional and life skills needed to flourish in their home community.
