These positions are temporary, seasonal positions of a limited nature used for the meter replacement proejct and water efficiency monitoring crews. These temporary seasonal positions are anticipated to be filled in early April 2024 with an expected duration of approximately six months, based on planned work for annual seasonal meter replacement and water efficiency activities. These positions will work up to 40 hours per week for a maximum of no more than 960 hours during the seasonal assignment.

Job Summary:

To learn to read, record, repair, replace and service Agency water meters and/or learn to implement various water efficiency programs for the Agency; to assist customers with meter-related questions, perform water surveys and/or perform the more routine duties related to the area of assignment.

Examples of Duties:

The following duties are typical for this classification. Incumbents may not perform all of the listed duties and/or may be required to perform additional or different duties from those set forth below to address business needs and changing business practices:

• Record readings and verify questionable reads.
• Perform meter maintenance, minor repairs and replace meter boxes and lids; repair leaks and install risers.
• Program electronic meter components.
• Hang door tags and notices at customer premises.
