Overview:
Sierra Lobo, offers customers a full range of professional and technical capabilities, including Test and Evaluation, Systems Engineering, and Advanced Technologies. We also develop products and processes related to Cryogenic Fluid and Thermal Management Systems, Densified Propellant Management Systems, and Prototype Extreme Pressure and Temperature Systems. Our customers include the Department of Defense (DoD), the U.S. Air Force, U.S. Navy, U.S. Army, Missile Defense Agency (MDA), and the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA).
This position will be located at NASA’s White Sands Test Facility and will support the TEST3 contract.

Responsibilities:
Various types of documents will be edited or incrementally written as assigned, including but not limited to, job instructions, test directives, test reports, and investigative reports. Excellent verbal and written communication skills will be used while working with staff, management, subject matter experts (SMEs), and internal and external customers. Knowledge of various style guides, citations, trademarks, export control, and records management will be needed to conduct background research, prepare and conduct interviews, and analyze information. Other duties may include reviewing and/or copyediting worked developed by peers.
Qualifications:
BA or BS degree in Technical Communications, Professional Writing, or similar discipline with an emphasis in science and computers plus three (3) to five (5) years of progressive and relevant experience. Include an electronic portfolio with your resume. Additional relevant education may be substituted for progressive experience. Must have strong writing and editing skills and knowledge of document design, layout, and publishing standards. Excellent interpersonal skills are required. Must be able to communicate complex ideas in a clear and concise manner. Demonstrated effective leadership skill is a plus. Knowledge of Project Management techniques (estimating and financial reporting) and software (Microsoft Project) is highly desirable. Must be proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite (including Access, Visio, SharePoint) and the Adobe Suite (in particular Acrobat DC, InDesign, and Photoshop). A software skills assessment may be required.
