We are searching for an experienced technical copywriter to work with our teams and produce content for different publication needs. The technical copywriter will create technical documentation, including end user / software documentation, integration guides, operational / procedural guides, and internal marketing content. The technical copywriter will work alongside product managers, developers, and designers to create content reflecting the software or system for the end-users, such as technical manuals and internal developer documentation, such as code diagrams and API references. They must be comfortable taking complex concepts and translating them in a simplified language for a non-technical audience. They must also produce internal marketing copy for campaigns, promoting Incyte Energy Solutions as a whole, and its individual products and services.

Responsibilities

• Gain deep understanding of products and services, and translate complicated concepts into simply understood content
• Research, outline, write, and proofread content, working closely with various departments to understand the objective of the project
• Lead the decision-making process on the type of publication that would best fit the requirements
• Develop content in different media forms, such as images, diagrams, and other visual aids to ensure clear, concise delivery of content
• Analyze existing content and use technical experience for new approaches on how to improve
• Use company brand voice and messaging for written pieces to reinforce the company culture

Requirements

• 2 years of professional writing experience
• Fluency in English
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in word processor programs such as Microsoft Word and Google Docs and PDF software such as Adobe Acrobat
• Proficiency in document formatting using tools such as markdown
• Familiarity with software development life cycles (SDLC)
• Self-motivated; jumps in without waiting to be asked
• Must provide links to documentation or previous professional writing work

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
