The Role
We are looking for an experienced Store Manager who can bring Amazon’s customer obsession to life in a grocery retail environment. You will be accountable for the end-to-end operations and overall performance for your store, leading a team of Assistant Managers and engaged grocery associates to deliver a memorable experience for customers. You will lead your store by monitoring, analyzing, and responding to business metrics that include sales, labor, customer satisfaction, productivity, and safety, among others. You will play a vital role in maintaining a vibrant team culture based on customer obsession, trust, respect, continuous learning, safety, and fun. You will work within your store to execute on scalable processes and sound business operations. You will contribute your retail and grocery knowledge to influence the evolution of a fast-growing grocery business.
Store Managers are process-driven, comfortable with a high degree of ambiguity, detail-oriented, able to think outside the box, and able to analyze business metrics and implement effective solutions. Store Managers demonstrate a strong work ethic, excellent ownership, the ability to meet deadlines, develop a team of solution-oriented leaders, a willingness to learn new things, and a commitment to the customer and employee experience.
In this role, you will:
· Manage a team of assistant managers, including setting goals, relaying expectations and managing performance, providing regular feedback, and supporting career development.
· Delegate and influence to drive exceptional results in your store, including executing standard operating procedures, identifying areas of improvement, implementing solutions, and providing ongoing feedback to assistant managers.
·Analyze data and guide the team to adjust as needed, use business metrics to measure and drive performance, and convey results in regular business reviews.

· Create and maintain a culture of engagement by routinely listening to feedback from leaders, associates, and customers, analyzing qualitative and quantitative inputs, and independently implementing solutions to solve problems.
· Create and maintain a safe, clean, and secure environment to ensure the security of all employees, customers, and products in your store.
You are comfortable working in a physical environment. You have the ability to lift up to 49 pounds and be on your feet for a shift.

Basic qualifications
· 2+ years of grocery leadership experience or 2+ years of Amazon (Blue Badge/FTE) experience
· 3+ years of direct management experience for employees and their performance
· Bachelor's degree from an accredited university, or 2 years of Amazon (Blue Badge/FTE) experience, or 8+ years of industry experience.
Preferred qualifications
· 6+ years of grocery experience
· Current Assistant Store Manager within Amazon Fresh business line.
· Experience in launching grocery retail locations.
· Experience in directing store operations and managing 100+ indirect employees.
· Demonstrated ability to use data and metrics to back up assumptions and implement effective solutions.
· Demonstrated ability to attract, hire, and develop high-performing teams.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $71,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $164,900/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
