Job Title: Staff Scientist/Engineer/Geologist
Location: Remote
Employment Type: Full Time
Salary Range: $60,000 to $80,000, depending on experience
Reports To: Senior Geologist or Senior Engineer

Position Overview:
As a key member of our team, you'll have the opportunity to execute a variety of environmental compliance projects with oversight from senior staff. You'll work closely with our project teams to overcome challenges and meet our clients' needs. Your role will involve supporting projects with report and deliverable preparation, with a focus on Colorado soil and groundwater site investigations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform all work with a focus on safety
- Evaluate laboratory analytical reports, prepare data packets, and work under the guidance of more senior staff to propose next steps to achieve project goals
- Work closely with both field staff and office personnel to prepare reports and project deliverables
- Work with GIS department to prepare figures such as site location maps and sample location figures
- Field support up to 20% of the time, typically within 2 hours of the Denver area.Overnight travel not regularly anticipated.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Possess a valid driver’s license and clean driving record (MVR) that meet Company’s Insurance qualifications to operate Company vehicle.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and use/operation of standard office equipment.
- Self-motivated and assertive. Comfortable in open discussion with personality ranges from field hands to construction and design groups.
- Detail-oriented with ability to set priorities, monitor progress towards goals, and track details, data, information, activities, etc.
- Good time management and organizational skills to meet project deadlines.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications:
- Oil and Gas experience
- Experience with Colorado (ECMC) spill reporting
- Experience with ArcGIS
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Geology, or related field of study
- 0-4 years of relevant industry experience
This Position May Be Subject To:
- Extreme cold and heat: temperatures typically below 32° F or above 100° F for periods of more than one hour. Consideration should be given to the effect of other environmental conditions such as wind, rain, snow, and humidity.
- Noise: some locations exhibit ambient noise levels requiring the worker to shout to be heard clearly.
- Hazards: includes a variety of physical conditions, such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current, and exposure to chemicals.
- Motor vehicle record evaluation and ability to operate a vehicle safely and lawfully.
- Routine and periodic alcohol and drug testing.
Physical Demands:
- The employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms.
- The employee will minimally lift, push, carry and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Frequent amount of traversing through challenging terrain to evaluate project sites, conditions, manually inspect slopes or perform work.
