Role Overview

We are looking for an Sr. Software Developer, HMI Design to join our growing team of creative visionaries. You will collaborate with our User Experience team to make beautiful visual forms come to life in our creative products. Our ideal candidate is experienced in Android Development and is inspired to make simple and intuitive human centered experiences. You are inspired by the future of mobility and technology, and passionate about creating ground-breaking, futuristic automotive experience. You are a visionary explorer and dedicated craftsperson.

Job Responsibilities

Transform design specification into functional user interfaces.

Communicate with other team members.

Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code.

Ensure the best performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.

Identify process and application bottlenecks and bugs.

Offer and implement solutions in a timely manner.

Call out potential performance issues regarding hardware platforms and their restrictions.

5-7 years of applied C/C++, Java or Kotlin programming experience.

5+ years of Android application development experience and debugging.

Released multiple applications via app store or on embedded devices.

Experience in creating custom views by extending view base class.

Experience in development of animations, motion and interactions.

Experience in optimizing memory, performance, and space usage.

Stay in touch with evolving Android platform advances.

Proficient knowledge of code versioning tools.

Be a self-starter and Team player.

Understanding of the UX design process and experience working with UX design team and/or development team.

Be able to prototype with grey box or stub in assets.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.

Voice user interface (VUI) experience.

Modular UI development experience.

Expected Salary Range: $92,260-$ 257,010 a year.

Additional compensation: Salary is one part of total compensation which includes bonuses, equity awards as applicable, and benefits. An employee is eligible to participate in Fisker’s equity program, subject to the rules governing such programs.

Benefits: Fisker provides comprehensive medical, prescription, dental, vision, and disability insurance packages for full-time employees, their spouse or domestic partner, and children up to age 26. Coverage is effective on the first day of employment, and Fisker covers most of the premiums for employees.

The salary offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors including market location, job-related knowledge, education/training, certifications, key skills, experience, internal peer equity as well as business considerations. Fisker reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position within the salary range listed, taking into account the wide variety of factors listed above.
