Skills & Competencies

  1. 15+ years’ experience in a pre-sales, solution consulting, or client-facing technical role within a data, analytics, or technology organization
  2. Strong experience with data architecture, including data lakes (e.g., Risk Data Lake), integrations, SQL/database services, and API‑driven workflows
  3. Ability to leverage AI/GenAI technologies (including MCP, agentic workflows, and GenAI-ready data) to support client use cases and solution positioning
  4. Experience supporting complex sales cycles, including RFPs, demos, and proofs of concept, with a focus on technical solutioning
  5. Proven ability to translate client requirements into scalable, technically sound architectures aligned to business outcomes
  6. Strong understanding of integration strategies, including REST APIs, scripting, and orchestration across platforms
  7. Ability to engage credibly with both business and technical stakeholders, including C‑suite and engineering teams
  8. Strong presentation and communication skills with the ability to simplify complex data, integration, and AI concepts
  9. Consultative approach with experience influencing decision makers across varied client environments
  10. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose technical and workflow challenges and develop effective solutions
  11. Ability to operate both independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams
  12. Experience working closely with product, engineering, or consulting teams to drive adoption and client success
  13. Ability to scope and size technical environments, including compute, storage, and large-scale data workflows
  14. Willingness to travel as needed

Education

  1. Bachelor’s degree in computer science, data science, engineering, or a related technical field required
  2. Advanced degree (e.g., Master’s) in a related technical discipline preferred

Responsibilities

This role serves as a technical pre-sales leader supporting Moody’s catastrophe modeling, data, and technology solutions across insurance, reinsurance, and broker clients. The individual will partner cross-functionally to drive solution adoption, lead technical sales engagements, and guide clients in designing scalable, data-driven architectures aligned to their business and technology strategies.

  1. Support go-to-market execution across catastrophe modeling, data, and platform solutions for global insurance clients
  2. Partner with product, engineering, consulting, and sales teams to drive adoption of data, platform, and integration-led solutions
  3. Lead technical aspects of the sales cycle, including RFP responses, product demonstrations, and proofs of concept
  4. Advise clients on integration strategies, including APIs, scripting, and orchestration across Moody’s and client environments
  5. Support solution design for data architecture, including Risk Data Lake, aligned with client cloud and data strategies
  6. Engage clients in AI/GenAI discussions, positioning how Moody’s data integrates into broader AI ecosystems
  7. Scope and size technical environments, ensuring scalable, high-performing, and cost-effective implementations
  8. Build strong client relationships and translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable insights that drive adoption

For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is $200,300.00 - $290,450.00, depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location. This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for incentive compensation.
