Your role in our mission


Take a close look at some of the details that contribute to Gainwell’s industry-leading tools and technologies in this challenging position.


  1. Code, test, debug, implement and document moderately complex programs
  2. Analyze, design, and write specifications and requirements from which we develop and code programs
  3. Evaluate existing systems and programs; assist the project manager in assigning tasks and work closely with a team
  4. Liaise with clients and management to provide technical consulting on complex programming projects, validate program requirements and resolve issues that arise
  5. Develop test plans and participate in QA activities such as coding reviews
  6. Participate as a member of a development team and lead a small sub-team of developers as needed
  7. Design system components and delegate responsibilities to team members
  8. Participate in Production support activities.


What we're looking for


  1. 6+ years of application/software development, programming and testing experience with C, Oracle, SQL, and version control in a Linux environment (previous healthcare systems experience is highly desired but not required)
  2. Experience with the full software development life cycle
  3. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for the design, creation, and testing of programs
  4. Strong written and oral communication skills to work effectively with team members, support personnel and clients
  5. Ability to work effectively as an independent contributor and as leader on a team
  6. Knowledge in XML and EDI Healthcare transactions is strongly preferred.

  2. Participation in Production support activities which requires 24/7 availability during on-call rotation.
  3. Opportunities to travel through your work (0-10%)
  4. Willingness to work a flexible schedule to accommodate business needs and travel as required
