Are you a Solutions Engineer who thrives on delivering product demos that close deals? Have you mastered the art of translating complex software into clear value for diverse stakeholders? Are you a Solutions Consultant or Product Specialist who leans into the sales side of the role (rather than the uber-technical)? If you're a Solutions Engineer or Solutions Consultant interested in making deathcare a little less scary for the people who serve grieving families, please read on.


Recently acquired by PE because of an incredibly strong product market fit, this backed vertical SaaS company builds cloud-based management software for cemeteries, crematories, and funeral homes. Following a recent acquisition of a competitor, they are scaling across North America with an expanding sales team and increasingly complex deals. This is an exciting inflection point: strong product-market fit, fresh capital, and the opportunity to build the Solutions Engineer function from scratch.


What You Will Own

  1. Deliver deep-dive product demos for mid-market and enterprise deals after AEs complete discovery
  2. Be the product expert AEs lean on throughout the sales cycle
  3. Keep demo environments fresh with bi-weekly product releases
  4. Own the feedback loop between sales and product teams
  5. Build sales enablement content and demo playbooks from scratch


What You'll Need:

This role is a strong fit for Solutions Engineers or Product Specialists who have ramped successfully on new products at multiple companies and bring a sales-oriented mindset to technical enablement.

  1. You've been a Solutions Engineer, Product Specialist, or Solutions Consultant at 2-3 companies
  2. You're sales-oriented first, technical second (could have carried quota but chose the demo track)
  3. You've thrived in startup or growth-stage environments where you build the playbook as you go
  4. You can talk integrations, APIs, and data migration without needing to code anything
  5. You adjust your communication style based on who's in the room (CFO vs. cemetery director vs. IT lead)

Plus Skills

  1. HubSpot, Attention, or similar CRM/AI tools
  2. Curiosity about how agentic AI is reshaping SaaS products
  3. Experience selling into traditional industries undergoing digital transformation
