Swagelok Louisiana is seeking a SolidWorks CAD Designer to support the design and documentation of fluid system assemblies and engineered solutions for customers in the oil and gas, refining, chemical, power, and industrial markets.

This is a fully onsite role based in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Candidates must be able to work onsite Monday through Friday. We are seeking local candidates and are not providing relocation assistance or visa sponsorship for this position.

This role is best suited for someone with practical, hands on CAD drafting and design experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment. The position focuses heavily on SolidWorks modeling, production drawings, and support of engineered assemblies and fabrication projects.

You’ll join a collaborative Engineering & Services team where your work will directly support real world customer applications and manufacturing projects.

What You’ll Do

1. Develop 2D and 3D CAD models and detailed drawings using SolidWorks
2. Create production ready drawings, layouts, sections, dimensions, and bills of material (BOMs)
3. Interpret P&IDs, specifications, customer requirements, and general arrangement drawings
4. Modify and update drawings based on internal and customer feedback
5. Work closely with Application Engineers, sales, operations, and fabrication teams to support project execution
6. Assist with drawing reviews and maintain documentation and revision control processes
7. Support continuous improvement initiatives and department standards

What We’re Looking For

1. Two or more years of professional CAD design or drafting experience
2. Two or more years of professional SolidWorks experience required
3. Associate degree or technical certification in CAD, drafting, or related field preferred
4. Ability to interpret technical drawings and mechanical layouts
5. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
6. Good communication and collaboration skills
7. Experience in industrial, manufacturing, mechanical, or engineered systems environments preferred
8. Familiarity with fluid systems, instrumentation, or mechanical assemblies is a plus
