2. About the Opportunity:

The Software Support Engineer III provides critical technical support to production operations and research teams by troubleshooting and resolving issues in software products and environments. This role also fulfills research requests by creating Cloud pipeline manifests and making results accessible to researchers. By maintaining detailed documentation of solutions and processes, this position helps streamline problem resolution and improve service reliability, directly impacting the effectiveness of the organization’s laboratory and data analytics platforms.

3. Responsibilities:

• Provide technical support for Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) and Cloud-based data analytics software.

• Troubleshoot, debug, and perform root cause analysis on product and environment issues using log files, system instrumentation, and problem reproduction.

• Document all actions taken to resolve production issues and follow up with users to ensure satisfactory outcomes.

• Develop and document best practices and implement processes to improve customer service and request handling.

• Identify and document solutions to recurring issues as scripted processes.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Handle protected health information (PHI) in both paper and electronic form, with appropriate technology access.

4. Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar technical support role.

• BS degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience; MS degree preferred.

• Proficient in Java and the Spring framework.

• Strong experience with relational databases, particularly MySQL.

• Excellent analytical troubleshooting skills.

• Strong communication and organizational skills, especially under pressure.

• Skilled in technical documentation.

• Willingness to learn genetics-related knowledge.

• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.

• Experience with Groovy scripting is a plus.

• Experience with Python and web services is a plus.

5. Pay Range and Compensation Package:

• Remote USA salary range: $80,500 to $100,600 USD.

• Actual compensation will vary based on candidate skills, experience, certifications, and location.
