Job Title: Software Quality Assurance Analyst / SQL


Summary:

This position works as part of a project team to implement quality standards across survey programs. This may include developing well-structured user interface test cases, automated test cases, writing and executing manual test cases, and analyzing complex data. Testing of new and existing functionality, debug code and report errors within the defect tracking system. Candidate will show the ability to work collaboratively with other members of the team, provide timely solutions, apply quality principles throughout the project lifecycle with the appropriate support and documentation. Responsibilities will also include providing support to other SQA Analysts, completing documentation according to approved methodology and coordinating and participating in development and team meetings.


Required Skills:

  1. 3+ years experience backend database testing utilizing MS SQL
  2. Working knowledge of test management software (like JIRA or similar)
  3. Proven experience as a Quality Assurance Tester using MS SQL Database
  4. Ability to manage competing priorities on an ongoing basis
  5. Strong problem identification and solving skills
  6. Preferred skills:
  7. Ability to write and analyze SQL queries
  8. Knowledge of stored procedures
  9. Work collaboratively with the development team for defect triaging
  10. Ability to document and troubleshoot errors
  11. Excel in a fast paced, dynamic environment
  12. Ability to be self-directed to complete assigned activities
  13. Strong verbal and written skills
  14. Relate effectively and work respectfully with diverse work groups
  15. Ability to consistently perform well during times of increased work load
  16. Ability to set and meet deadlines
  17. Manage multiple job functions simultaneously
  18. Other duties as needed

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Four-year technical college degree in related field
  2. Exposure to test automation tools
