Role Overview

We are looking for strong software engineering talent with hands‑on experience applying AI or ML in real-world systems. As part of the Legal Operations engineering group, you will deliver production-grade AI/ML solutions, build microservices, and work across Client’s technical infrastructure. Although familiarity with Client’s internal tools and platforms is not required at the start, successful candidates should be eager and able to pick them up quickly.

Responsibilities

1. Design, develop, and maintain production-quality software systems that support AI/ML-powered legal operations workflows.
2. Build microservices and backend components using Python, Hack, or PHP. Implement AI engineering workflows, including data processing, model integration, and deployment pipelines on top of ML engineering foundations.
3. Collaborate with ML engineers, AI engineers, legal domain experts, and cross-functional partners to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
4. Integrate models into Client’s infrastructure and optimize them for scalability, latency, and reliability.
5. Contribute to architectural decisions, code reviews, documentation, and best engineering practices.
6. Quickly upskill in Client-specific tools, platforms, and infrastructure necessary for engineering and model deployment.
7. Ensure high code quality, test coverage, and adherence to security, privacy, and compliance needs relevant to legal domain systems.

Minimum Qualifications

1. BS or MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field, or equivalent experience.
2. Strong backend software engineering experience.
3. Proficiency in at least one of: Python, Hack, PHP.
4. Experience building microservices or distributed backend systems.
5. Hands-on experience using AI or ML in production or applied contexts.
6. Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software design.
7. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment and learn new tools rapidly.

Pay and Benefits

1. Pay Range Minimum: $92000/annum
2. Pay Range Maximum: $141000/annum

A candidate’s pay within the range will depend on their skills, experience, education, and other factors permitted by law.
