This opportunity is for a Backend Software Engineer responsible for designing, developing, and testing high-performance distributed systems.

The role focuses on building scalable backend infrastructure that supports security, analytics, and observability use cases at scale.

You will take ownership of complex technical challenges, collaborate closely with engineering partners, and deliver well-tested, production-ready solutions that handle large volumes of data and user traffic.

What You’ll Do

1. Design and develop backend services for distributed systems
2. Profile, optimize, and improve system performance
3. Scale systems to handle large data volumes, high throughput, and growing user bases
4. Implement and maintain automated tests for backend applications
5. Participate in an on-call rotation to provide technical support
6. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements and implement solutions
7. Contribute to architectural decisions and long-term system improvements

Qualifications

1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline
2. 3+ years of experience working with distributed systems and memory management
3. Strong knowledge of Linux, file systems, storage systems, and networking fundamentals
4. Experience with performance profiling and application scaling
5. Strong programming skills in Go
6. Experience working with syscall interfaces and low-level system interactions
7. Proficiency with Git and collaborative workflows (e.g., pull requests)
8. Experience with software development life cycles, including design, implementation, and testing
9. Strong verbal and written communication skills
10. Fluent English proficiency

Nice to Have

1. Experience with Docker and containerization
2. Experience with Windows or macOS development environments
3. Experience with CUDA or ROCm
4. Familiarity with machine learning concepts or large-scale analytics systems
