2. About the Opportunity:

The Software Engineer will contribute to the design and delivery of next-generation HPC and AI cloud platforms. This role is critical for solving technical problems across the hardware and software stack, enhancing VM features, and supporting performance analysis of GPU workloads. The position involves working on hardware/software interactions, device virtualization, and collaborating with internal and external partners. It offers a significant opportunity to influence AI infrastructure and expand cloud platform capabilities.

3. Responsibilities:

• Analyze functionality, integration, and performance issues across hardware/software stack for AI training platforms

• Design and implement solutions to improve correctness, stability, and performance of AI-focused VM offerings and related services

• Optimize, debug, refactor, and reuse code to enhance performance, maintainability, and ROI

• Use metrics to guide code quality and stability, applying best coding practices

• Serve as a Designated Responsible Individual, collaborating across teams and providing on-call support to monitor system health and resolve issues

4. Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field with coding experience in C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python, or equivalent experience

• Experience in high performance computing or machine learning

• Ability to pass specialized security screenings, including a cloud background check upon hire and periodically thereafter

• Preferred:

– Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Computer Science or related technical field with 1+ years of engineering experience or equivalent

– Familiarity with machine learning, AI infrastructure, operating systems fundamentals, and virtualization technologies

5. Pay Range and Compensation Package:

• Typical base pay range in the U.S. is USD 84,200 to 165,200 per year

• Higher ranges apply in the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, with base pay from USD 109,000 to 180,400 per year
