An experienced Software Developer is sought to join the Platform team, contributing to the design and implementation of business workflows using technologies such as Drools, Java, SQL, and ActiveMQ. This role is well suited for someone who enjoys collaborating with stakeholders across a wide range of technical backgrounds to translate business needs into practical, scalable technical solutions.

Responsibilities:

1. Design, build, and enhance solutions that support operational workflows, such as implementing priority order handling, resolving workflow bottlenecks, and ensuring accurate processing across systems.
2. Develop and refine logic-driven workflows that manage business rules, task routing, and system integrations.
3. Investigate and resolve issues affecting system performance, including diagnosing and optimizing slow database queries.
4. Ensure high-quality code by taking full ownership of development efforts and performing thorough testing prior to release.
5. Participate in peer code reviews to maintain quality, consistency, and best practices across the team.
6. Actively engage in planning discussions, identifying risks or ambiguities early in the development process.

Skills and Qualifications:

1. BS in Computer Science or a related discipline.
2. Strong interest in working with stakeholders to improve and automate business workflows.
3. Experience implementing business logic using Drools or comparable rules-based frameworks.
4. Proficiency backend Java development.
5. Solid experience working with SQL and relational databases.
6. Familiarity with MyBatis or similar ORM technologies.
7. Experience with messaging systems such as ActiveMQ and JMS.
8. Knowledge of unit testing frameworks, including JUnit.
