Software Asset Management Analyst

Waterbury, CT (Remote)

5+Month Contract

This role will support the Software Asset Management Director in executing software asset management operational tasks. The role focuses on maintaining the software inventory, license management, and compliance reporting.

Responsibilities:

1. Review weekly purchases and identify items that require action.
2. Create record updates on new software purchases.
3. Submit content requests or service requests and follow up accordingly.
4. Normalize software inventory data within the asset management tool.
5. Provide governance reports and performance updates.
6. Facilitate the collection of license entitlements and supporting documentation per software.
7. Review and understand contract terms and conditions.
8. Track, maintain, and coordinate license and maintenance agreement renewals with software owners.
9. Assist in the software review process, capturing updates and decisions.

Qualifications:

1. High school diploma or GED required; bachelor's degree preferred
2. 2+ years’ experience in IT, IT Asset Management, Software Asset Management preferred
3. Understanding of Asset Management tools and technologies
4. Understanding of software licensing and contracts
5. Knowledge of Software Asset Management principles/practices
6. Preferred Experience with ServiceNow SAM Pro
7. Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills, including the ability to accumulate, organize, and assimilate large amounts of information.
8. Strong communication skills.
