SUMMARY
The Social Work Associate utilizes social work skills in meeting the health needs of the patients by collaborating with appropriate community resources, planning and developing programs for better patient care, and delivering direct services to patients under the oversight of an MSW.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree in Social Work or a related field
General knowledge of social work principles, social welfare policies, combined with practical approach to working with patients
Understanding the use of self and a general understanding of the social aspects of illness as they relate to working with patients
Ability to understand one’s role as a social worker in a complex health facility and how one works within that system as an advocate for good patient care.
