Position Overview

We are hiring a fully remote Social Media Moderator to manage our online community across all platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Google, Yelp, and industry forums). This role is responsible for monitoring conversations, responding to comments and messages, protecting brand reputation, and escalating customer service or sales leads to the appropriate teams.

Key responsibilities

1. Monitor all social media channels and review platforms daily
2. Respond promptly and professionally to comments, messages, reviews, and mentions
3. Maintain a consistent, friendly, and on-brand tone in every interaction
4. Identify and escalate potential sales leads or service issues to the sales and support teams
5. Report threats, spam, or inappropriate content and apply community guidelines
6. Help schedule and publish approved social media posts
7. Track basic community metrics and prepare simple weekly reports
8. Occasionally assist with creating quick graphic posts or stories using provided templates

Qualifications

1. Excellent written English and strong attention to detail
2. Comfortable working independently from home with daily check-ins
3. Previous experience managing social media comments, reviews, or customer messages (even part-time or freelance) is helpful but not required
4. Familiarity with Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Google Business, and review sites
5. Ability to stay calm and professional when handling negative feedback
6. Basic knowledge of Canva or similar tools is a plus
7. Reliable high-speed internet and a quiet workspace

Compensation

Salary range $48,000 – $56,000 per year with quarterly performance bonuses.
