Simon & Schuster is seeking a results-oriented marketing strategist and foremost creative individual for our Pimsleur team. This freelance role will be focused on managing Pimsleur’s social media accounts through social listening, responding to our community, writing copy, and developing content and relationships. In this role, you will help build trust and credibility around our main positioning pillars on the paid marketing side of the business.

 

What does success look like? You will showcase an ability to think creatively about social media - strategically, we’re going deeper than a Facebook post with good copy. Your success will be measured against KPIs established by the VP of Marketing to provide a cohesive and supportive marketing strategy across paid and organic social efforts.

 

Qualifications:

  • At your core, you are creative with words, visuals, and video. You understand how to leverage them to communicate effectively to build trust and community.
  • You can showcase a portfolio of initiatives and content you’ve handled on social media
  • You understand the nuances of Millennial and Gen-Z audiences as it relates to social media communications

 

Responsibilities:

  • Build and engage communities on Facebook, TikTok, Instagram, Reddit, and Twitter
  • Create meaningful, engaging content and copy across formats and social channels
  • Develop pipelines for user generated content through social initiatives to support our strategic goals
  • Post content across social media platforms (Sprinkler experience a plus), ensuring all content posted is mindful of brand positioning
  • Collaborate with blog editorial team on content and campaigns for social
  • Report and analyze impact of social campaigns
