Responsibilities for Social Media Manager - reports to Director of Marketing
- Become an expert on the company's positioning and values to write, edit, proofread, and publish content that supports our objectives
- Develop a cross-platform content strategy that aligns with marketing targets both long term and short term for employee, resident, and prospect engagement
- Be a liaison between the marketing/PR teams and the properties, relaying anything noteworthy happening on-site that could be used across any engagement platform
- Oversee social creation and management of content for the company's corporate and executive social pages
- Shooting and editing photos/video footage, generating creative/sharable content, and other forms of digital collateral
- Increase web traffic across platforms by managing content distribution to online channels and social media
- Maintain a content marketing calendar that schedules all aspects of the creation and delivery of content throughout the year across multiple platforms
- Create and implement communications strategies for increasing follower base and engagement across social platforms, as well as supplying post analytics
- Provide weekly/monthly reports around trending topics and social listening
- Stay ahead of best practices in the industry, and on our platforms, and review competitors to compare their activities
Qualifications for Social Media Manager
- At least three to four years of agency experience or in a similar role
- Extensive background in social media, communications, creative writing, multimedia editing, growing audiences and analyzing metrics on all social media platforms including but not limited to: TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Linkedin, and Facebook.
- Considers themselves an expert on platforms such as Instagram, TikTok & Facebook, with a working knowledge of LinkedIn and other social media platforms.
- Ability to coordinate organic calendar & campaign with digital media strategy
- Experienced with project management platforms like Monday.com
- Ability to conceive fresh and appealing ideas for new content that establishes or supports the company's brand identity
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Advanced written communication skills for short and long form
- Detail-oriented work style
- Time management and organizational expert
- Ability to solve problems quickly
- Detailed knowledge and experience with social media engagement strategies, best practices, online tools, and marketing trends
- Strong skills in creating original content that targets a specific audience and meets company objective
- Basic technical knowledge of MS Office and WordPress
