POSITION TYPE: Full-Time, Exempt

REPORTS TO: Senior Social Media Manager

COMPENSATION: $60,000-$65,000 annual salary; Healthcare benefits are available for this role.

The Colorectal Cancer Alliance is a national nonprofit organization committed to ending colorectal cancer within our lifetime. We help patients, families, survivors, and caregivers navigate diagnosis and treatment options, connect them with those who can share experiences and knowledge, and identify resources to meet their needs. We partner with healthcare professionals and social influencers to raise awareness of preventative screening, and we collaborate with researchers to better understand the disease and fund critical research. POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Social Media Coordinator will manage day-to-day social media activities for the Colorectal Cancer Alliance and LEAD FROM BEHIND accounts, reporting to and supporting the Senior Social Media Manager. This role requires a creative, organized, and self-motivated individual passionate about social media trends and nonprofit communication. The coordinator will craft engaging content, interact with online communities and influencers, and analyze performance to strengthen the Alliance's presence and mission.


POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  1. Social Media Engagement: Monitor social media channels, respond to comments and messages promptly, and foster community engagement.
  2. Content Creation: Write and edit compelling content that reflects the brand voice of both accounts. Collaborate with internal teams to source and create graphics, videos, and other visual assets. Stay current with social media trends to bring innovative ideas to campaigns and posts.
  3. Analytics & Reporting: Track and analyze social media performance metrics, including engagement, reach, and growth to gain insight and implement recommendations.
  4. Campaign Support: Assist with social media and digital marketing initiatives for fundraising, awareness, and advocacy campaigns. Collaborate with influencers, partners, and Alliance supporters to amplify content reach.
  5. Brand Alignment: Ensure all social media content adheres to the Colorectal Cancer Alliance and LEAD FROM BEHIND brand guidelines.


REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Proven experience managing professional social media accounts, ideally in a nonprofit or health-related space.
  2. Strong writing and editing skills with the ability to adapt tone for different audiences and platforms.
  3. Proficiency in social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, TikTok) and tools like Sprout Social.
  4. Basic graphic design and video editing skills (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, InShot).
  5. Experience with influencer outreach and partnership coordination.
  6. Knowledge of social media best practices, trends, and analytics.
  7. Creative mindset and a passion for storytelling through digital platforms.
  8. Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to work independently.
