We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented SME – Career Exploration (K–12) Content Writer to join our educational content development team. In this role, you will craft engaging, accurate, and inspiring career exploration materials tailored for students from kindergarten through 12th grade. Your expertise will help guide young learners as they discover potential career paths, develop essential skills, and foster a lifelong interest in learning about various professions. Duties

1. Develop clear, engaging, and age-appropriate content focused on career exploration topics for K–12 students, ensuring alignment with educational standards and curriculum goals
2. Conduct thorough research on various careers, industry trends, and educational pathways to produce accurate and current information
3. Write compelling articles, lesson plans, activity guides, and digital content that inspire curiosity and facilitate understanding of different professions
4. Proofread, copy edit, and fact-check all materials to ensure clarity, accuracy, and adherence to style guidelines such as AP style and the Chicago Manual of Style
5. Collaborate with subject matter experts, educators, and project teams to refine content and incorporate feedback effectively
6. Utilize word processing tools efficiently to produce polished documents suitable for classroom use or online platforms
7. Maintain high standards of quality through editing, proofreading, and revising content to enhance readability and engagement

Requirements

1. Proven writing skills with experience in creative writing, technical writing or journalism; ability to adapt tone for diverse age groups
2. Strong editing skills including copy editing, proofreading, fact checking, and adherence to style guides such as AP style and the Chicago Manual of Style
3. Excellent research skills with the ability to synthesize complex information into clear, accessible language for K–12 audiences
4. Exceptional communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and subject matter experts
5. Familiarity with proposal writing, content development processes, and word processing software (e.g., Microsoft Word)
6. Experience in education-related content creation or curriculum development is preferred
7. Ability to meet deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards in a fast-paced environment
