Summary

Teledyne Controls is seeking a Services Engineer to be the focal point in helping to support and expand our services business segment based on the analysis of flight recorded data to our airline’s customers.

The candidate should be able to become knowledgeable on the different products used by Teledyne Controls to provide Services. Performs a variety of complicated tasks. Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Normally receives little instruction on day-to-day work, general instructions on new assignments.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

  • Assist in technical support relationship to drive customer satisfaction by proactively implementing technical solutions for our services customers.

  • Develop and implement algorithms used for Flight Data Analysis which can be utilized for Safety and Maintenance and Engineering purposes.

  • Create reports using data provided by our customers and analyzed by our software platforms.

  • Work with tools such as SQL, Tableau, etc. to be able to extract meaningful information from customer data.

  • Program simple applications using Teledyne Controls tools.

  • Resolve challenging, potentially high impact customer situations with a high level of tact and understanding.

  • Work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment under minimum supervision to support deployment, integration and maintenance of Controls’ software products within clients’ networking environments.

  • Be able to understand customer needs and identify possible new services opportunities.

  • Effectively interact with the engineering teams to provide solutions to complex technical issues.

  • Share best practices with fellow team members to enhance the quality and efficiency of the services process.

  • Travel domestically and internationally to Customer sites, industry conferences as necessary.

  • Work on different projects simultaneously.

  • Briefs others on deployment, deliverables, status and progress

Education and/or Experience ;

  • Requires a bachelor’s degree (BS) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Aeronautical or other related Engineering discipline.

  • At least a minimum of two (2) years of experience with custom software applications and data analysis.

  • Complete understanding of aviation and/or avionics system is a must.

  • Experience working with Tableau, or any other Data Analysis/Visualization software is highly desired.

Must be a US Person.

Salary Range:

$45,300.00 - $83,270.00
