As our team builds and supports new applications rapidly, we are looking for an exceptional Sr Technical Writer to develop and maintain Human Resources documentation including, but not limited to, security policies and procedures, internal process guidelines, technical project documentation, and standard templates.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with team members and SMEs to develop polished and well-structured user-facing documentation, such as SOPs, Process Improvement, How-tos, FAQs, and other content.
  • Supervise Jr Technical Writer, quality assurance, and create Material plans & strategies for the whole organization.
  • Help establish a Content Management center and lead the drafting and review of help articles.
  • Assess the scope and quality of documentation and onboarding resources for a software product.
  • Support cross-functional teams to develop an innovative learning program for a major technology product.

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of technical writing experience with hands-on experience creating documentation.
  • Understanding of human resources, information technology, and security concepts and best practices.
  • Must have experience with Wikis, Basic web design, HTML, CSS, Markdown/ Media-wiki markup/ Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, or other image software.
  • Demonstrate analytical experience, close attention to detail, excellent critical thinking, logic, and solution orientation.
  • Develop, implement, support, and maintain technology-related documentation systems.
  • Experience with creating and editing documents and diagrams using Microsoft applications, such as Word, Visio, and PowerPoint.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to deliver high-quality documentation.
  • Familiar with information technology and its lifecycle methodologies.
  • Strong verbal communication skills and concise written communication skills, as well as interpersonal skills.
  • Must effectively communicate technical details and thoughts in non-technical/general terminology.
  • Prior experience in HR is highly preferred.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Participate in OrangePeople monthly team meetings, and participate in team-building efforts.
  • Contribute to OrangePeople technical discussions, peer reviews, etc.
  • Contribute content and collaborate via the OrangePeople-Wiki/Knowledge Base.
  • Provide status reports to OrangePeople Account Management as requested.
